**Disclaimer: This DIY project is not for the faint of heart! Must be willing to dedicate time, patience, sweat, and maybe some tears. However, the finished project is completely worth it!
We know all about DIY projects. We’ve oooh’d and ahhh’d over pallet swings, mason jar lamps and shoe planters. However, we were not only amazed but a little apprehensive when we watched this DIY video on creating a stained glass masterpiece.
Using only Elmer glue, stencils (which look more like pages pulled from a coloring book), paintbrush and some paint, a keen DIY’er can create a breathtaking art piece. Stained glass is one of the coolest homes decorations and are a perfect project to kick-off summer when the sunshine will for sure illuminate your work. Just keep in mind – this project looks to be a little more time consuming than most. That’s not to say you shouldn’t tackle it (and send us photos of the finished project, of course.)
Some tips before you get started:
- Choose your pattern wisely. Don’t choose an intricate pattern that you’ll be hard pressed to finish up.
- Use wax paper cut-outs in your cupcake pan for easy clean-up.
- Get the whole family involved to save time! The kids will love the final piece.
